EMR Updates
The Digital Health team has a continuous improvement mindset and we’re always interested in hearing from you about changes to the applications we manage to support you in your day-to-day duties. It’s all part of our focus on Best Care at Western Health.
Based on your feedback, here is a summary of the changes we’ve made to the EMR in 2024:
We want the provider assignment overdue time to be changed from 120 minutes to one minute, to encourage a treating clinician’s assignment to a patient in the ED via LaunchPoint.
We’ve updated the provider assignment overdue time to one minute in LaunchPoint.
TDS nursing tasks are falling twice on the PM shift. Can we have TDS tasks drop at 0800hrs, 1400hrs and 2200hrs?
We’ve created a new TDS – Nursing Task Only frequency for nursing care tasks that need to drop at 0800hrs, 1400hrs and 2200hrs. Nurses will no longer need to reschedule the duplicate PM shift task, saving significant time.
We want a better prompt to remind staff to enter a diagnosis before placing a ‘Bed Request’ or ‘Discharge’ order.
We’ve created a pop-up to remind staff when a diagnosis has not been added. A ‘Document’ button will also be available to relevant clinicians to quickly access documentation and complete a diagnosis.
We want additional regimens available for ordering.
We’ve created the following new regimens:
- ONC Metastatic – denosumab 12 weekly (Open Ended)
- ONC – zoledronic acid 12-weekly (Open Ended)
- HAEM Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma – rituximab maintenance 3 monthly (8 cycles)
- HAEM AL Amyloidosis – daratumumab + CyBorD (24 cycles)
- ONC BREAST Metastatic – trastuzumab deruxtecan (Open Ended)
We want the correct GP details from iPM to update in GP view in the EMR.
We’ve corrected the system defect and GP details now update correctly within GP view.
