EMR Phase 2.1 Go-Live schedule

The EMR Phase 2.1 Go-Live will proceed as follows at the Williamstown, Sunbury, Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals:

 

Sunday 9th July –  Williamstown Hospital Emergency Department

Tuesday 11th July – Footscray Hospital Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit

Wednesday 12th July – Footscray Hospital Anaesthetics, Footscray, Sunshine, including Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s, and Williamstown Hospital Theatres

Thursday 13th July – Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit

Friday 14th July – Sunshine Hospital including Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Anaesthetics

Monday 17th July –  Sunshine Hospital Oncology, Sunbury Day Hospital Theatre and Anaesthetics, Williamstown Hospital Anaesthetics, All EMR sites – Specialist Clinics including Community Services, Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Newborn Services

Specialists Clinics Outpatients – Women’s and Children’s will Go-Live with:

    1. Outpatient clinic referrals
    2. Creating clinic appointments
    3. Arrive/ Depart and outcomes
    4. Clinical documentation
    5. All allied health/medical specialties will document on EMR

Some specific maternity documentation previously completed in BOS will remain

Wednesday 19th July – Sunbury Day Hospital Oncology

Monday 14th August – Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s MAC, birthing and Inpatient maternity areas will Go-Live with a hybrid model EMR functionality with the following documentation on EMR:

  1. Passport to surgery
  2. Maternity Observation and Response Charts (MORC) (except intrapartum)
  3. Documentation of Packs
  4. Regional Obstetric Analgesia Document (ROAD)
  5. Jaundice charts
  6. Victor charts

Some specific maternity documentation previously completed in BOS will remain, and we will continue to work towards activating all Women’s and Children’s documentation into the EMR.

Areas already using the EMR from Phase 1 will also have access to new EMR functionality from the start of the Go-Live period. Please note that the above schedule may need to be adjusted to meet organisational requirements as we approach the Go Live date.
