Time to start your EMR Phase 2.1 training

The EMR Phase 2.1 Go-Live in July is fast approaching, and many staff have already completed their training and are becoming familiar with the incoming enhancements.

EMR Phase 2.1 training is being delivered in two ways:

  1. Interactive online WeLearn lessons which are discipline and area specific.
  2. Face to face classroom training sessions are available from 5th June to 30th June, for those who require additional support after their WeLearn training or who quite simply, just prefer classroom training.

We’ve had some great feedback from the 700 staff members who have already completed their WeLearn training, and the Digital Health team is very thankful to those who have completed this vital training early. Many staff still need to complete their online WeLearn training before the July Go-Live and are urged to do so as soon as possible. For more information on who needs to complete WeLearn training please see the Training and Practicing page of this site.

Any staff member who completes their WeLearn lessons, and feels they need further support, is encouraged to attend a face-to-face classroom training session with a Digital Health trainer. Staff who prefer classroom training are also welcome to book into a face-to-face classroom training session. (Please check with your manager before booking in.)

Face-to-face classroom training will commence on 5th June 2023 and run for four weeks until Friday 30th June. Bookings for this classroom training can be made by searching ‘EMR Face to Face Training’ in WeLearn. Sessions will be held at the Footscray, Sunshine, Williamstown and Sunbury sites. Staff interested in face-to-face classroom training should book in early to ensure their desired day and time is available

When you have completed your WeLearn or classroom training, it is important to practice what you have learned in the EMR practice environment. Practicing the new workflows is a great way to consolidate your learnings from the training and to ensure you are feeling confident and ready for the Go-Live. Login details for the EMR practice environment are available from the Super Users in your area.

The Digital Health Learning and Development team look forward to supporting staff in the upcoming training sessions.
