Please remember Chart Done acts as a time stamp for when the specimen is collected and labelled correctly.

For Care Compass users – once the specimen has been collected and labelled correctly, locate the task in Care Compass, right click and select Done. Ensure the correct date, time and clinician name is recorded.  Click OK.

For non Care Compass users – once the specimen has been collected and labelled correctly, right click on the order in Activities and Interventions and select Chart Done.  Ensure the correct date, time and clinician name is recorded.  Click OK.

If pathology tasks are not selected as Chart Done before the specimen is sent to patholgy, and pathology cancels the order for any reason, then Care Compass will become blocked as tasks can’t be charted retrospectively.
