As part of Western Health’s continuing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancements have been made in the EMR to improve risk minimisation strategies.

New fields have been added to the ‘per shift COVID assessment in the last 24 hours’ to assist with specific patient risk assessments when there are exposures or outbreaks, to quickly identify patients most at risk with contact tracing, isolation, testing and cohorting by the Contact Tracing team, Infection Prevention and Deisolation team.

The new COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Strategies are highlighted below for completion each shift.
