Director of Nursing & Midwifery Informatics - (Chief Nursing & Midwifery Informatics Officer)
Kylee was recently appointed to the position of Director, Nursing & Midwifery Informatics (Chief Nursing & Midwifery Informatics Officer) to support the implementation and adoption of clinical information systems that assist nurses and midwives in the delivery of patient care at Western Health. Kylee has over 25 years of clinical and leadership experience across many areas of nursing within Melbourne. She has been working at Western Health in various roles and departments since 2006 and joined the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team in 2017 prior to the Phase 1 rollout.
Kylee is a member of the Australian College of Nursing’s Chief Nursing Informatics Officer Faculty, which brings together Chief Nursing and Midwifery Informatics Officers with a vision to lead the transformation of Nursing and Midwifery care in the digital age to maximise the benefits and delivery of person centered care.
Kylee is a strong advocate of the benefits an EMR can bring for patients and staff. Empowering our community and staff with easier access to information enhances the delivery of Best Care and staff and patient satisfaction. Kylee is excited to provide leadership and mentorship to Western Health’s NUM/MUM group to drive clinical analytics that inform and improve training, decision support, clinical workflow and clinical outcomes.
