Newborn Services (NBS) already use EMR for a lot of baby documentation that postnatal wards complete on paper. Will this be replaced with new documentation for EMR Phase 2.1?

No. Overall, NBS will continue to use the same EMR documentation they currently do, with some improvements. However, new SCN and NICU-specific fields and features will be added to replace what is still on paper.

Documentation for babies on the postnatal ward will be based on what is currently used in NBS, with additional features available with the introduction of PowerChart Maternity (PCM).
