Western Health is already seeing paper reductions as a result of the EMR implementation.

January saw a whopping 50% reduction in copy paper purchased, from more than 2,000 reams a month to 1,000.

Together with more than 40 standard forms no longer required, this is great news for the environment!

Reduced paper usage means less printing…less ink and cartridges.  So, less fossil fuels and environmental degredation in the manufacture and transport of these consumables too.
