An enhancement to the Ward Overview page in the EMR will help clinicians better identify potential COVID-19 infections early and reduce the risk of transmission within the hospital.

Western Health is implementing routine rapid antigen testing for all inpatient admissions aged five years or older, with routine regime surveillance testing occurring for the first 72 hours after admission and weekly testing for patients who remain as an inpatient for longer periods.

A rapid antigen test result section will be added to the Ward Overview page in the EMR from 11^th May to assist clinicians with recognising when the last RAT test was performed.
