Pharmacy
ICU will order medications on PowerChart.
Pharmacy will use PharmNet Medication Manager to verify these medications, similar to existing areas currently using EMR for medications.
All ordering and administration of intraoperative medication will be completed in the new EMR anaesthesia module.
All ordered and administered medications in the intraoperative setting will be fully visible (read only) on the Medication Administration Record.
Current ordering of inpatient medications and outpatient and discharge prescriptions on the EMR will continue without change.
As part of the EMR Phase 2.1 project, prescribing of medications is expanded to include chemotherapy, continuous infusions for neonates, medications given in ICU and anaesthesia.
